About the Author
NA'IMA B ROBERT is descended from Scottish Highlanders on her father's side and the Zulu people on her mother's side. She was born in Leeds, grew up in Zimbabwe and went to university in London. At high school, her loves included performing arts, public speaking and writing stories that shocked her teachers! She has written several multicultural books for children and is the author of 'From Somalia, with love', a novel for young adults. 'Boy vs Girl' is her second books for teens. She divides her time between London and Cairo and dreams of living on a farm with her own horses. This book stands out from other Ramadan themed books-- it's for a slightly older age group, 5+ would probably appreciate it most. I love the unique page designs. This is a good intro for a class of non Muslims about Ramadan, for example. We gifted this to my son's class library.
I enjoy her books, and so do my kids. The artwork is so unique, and the pictures illustrate the culture and practices really well. I sent this book to my son's preschool, and his teachers enjoyed them the most. She also has a Hajj one.
We LOVE this book. The illustrations are fantastic and the book overall is a favorite.
Beautiful book. I read it with my daughter and we love it. The meaning of the month of ramadan is very well explained.

I likes this book because it has a story in about the whole month of Ramadan... It's nice for 1st and 2nd great kids .
The illustrations are wonderful and the author was able to capture the spirit of the month. I would highly recommend his book.
story not captivating for a young child. It is kind of poetic, I guess, so just doesn't hold his attention. Kind of a bust of a gift.
